play Up One Level not an important image Scrambling Photos from Grotto MountainJune 14, 2008

Grotto Mountain is a very popular scramble starting at the Alpine Club Clubhouse by Canmore. I figured this was as good a time as any to do it. Mountains look better with snow on them I think. This scramble is no more than a very steep hike. Anyone not used to steep hikes will probably turn around attempting this mountain. That is why it is not in any hiking guides

A summit to the North East. It can be ascended by hiking to it from where I am but there was too much snow for me to want to do this. Most people don't bother to ascend it anyway.
